District 19 is a dynamic race experience created to help DC runners cope with the cancellation of the fall race season and long-distance race experience during the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic.

In October of 2022, we held our third annual District 19 Miler, 19K and 5K race series. District 19 is a dynamic race experience originally created to help DC runners cope with the cancellation of the fall race season and long-distance race experience during the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. We chose the number 19 for our annual race series to continue to pay homage to those we’ve lost but also the tremendous perspective gained in the year 2020.

This past October, we celebrated a decade of impact at our fourth annual District 19 Miler, 19K and 5K race series. For our 10 year anniversary as a community and running collective, we culminated this milestone in the true #BTGDC fashion, bringing our running friends and family from all over the world together to collect some miles and new memories from the pavement to the dance floor.
